WHY DO WE ASK FOR A PIN?
This PIN & Data Protection policy outlines how Hugmie uses and stores your personal data, pertaining to the usage and storage of your PIN for our Repairs Service in our Stores.
David Fun Max Ltd., trading under Hugmie, will routinely request that their customers provide a working PIN (Personal Identification Number) or Passcode to their Smartphone, Tablet, or other electronic device during the course of their Repairs Process.
DATA COLLECTION & USAGE
WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT
Our company collects the following data over the course of processing a repair:
- Device PIN Number
- Personal Identification Information (such as Full Name, Mobile Number, Email Address and County)
HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR DATA?
You directly provide our Company with the data we collect both in-store and online. (Read our Online Privacy Policy here)
During the course of our Repairs Process in the stores, you provide us with the above information in-person when booking in any Repair at the Point of Sale with Hugmie in our stores.
HOW WILL WE USE YOUR DATA?
Over the course of processing your Repair, our staff will create a Repairs Invoice or ‘Ticket’ for your specific device. This Ticket will outline information about the Repair including, but not limited to:
- Personal Identification Information (such as Full Name, Mobile Number, Email Address and County)
- Invoice Number
- Date and Location of Repair
- Technician Name
- Device details (including Model, EMEI, PIN, Functionality Notes)
- Fault Details
- Pre and Post Repair Notes
- Parts used
- Invoice Amount
Hugmie store collects your data to book in your Repairs so that we can:
- Process your Repair
- Manage your Customer Account
- Contact you in relation to your Repair
Hugmie store does not share or sell your personal data to any outside body or Third Party. All data acquired during the course of managing your Repair is strictly managed and can only be accessed to those with permission to access your Repairs Account, over the course of processing your Repair.
This data is not subject to any Marketing Terms nor will we use it in any way other than to contact you about your Repair.
PROVIDING YOUR PIN FOR REPAIRS
WHY DO WE ASK FOR YOUR PIN?
Over the course of repairing your Smartphone, Tablet or other electronic device, you may be asked to provide a PIN (Personal Identification Number) or Passcode.
Hugmie store will utilize your PIN or Passcode in order to gain access to your device to carry out the agreed Repair and to perform both pre and post Repair Checks.
‘Access’ refers to the use of Applications, Settings and ability to test the functionality and working order of your device.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Volume Controls
- Touch ID
- Camera
- Web Browser
This access is required to authenticate and validate both the repair issue and perform the pre and post checks to ascertain whether the issue in question has been repaired satisfactorily.
DATA STORAGE & ACCESS
HOW WE STORE YOUR DATA
Your personal data is stored on our CRM & Invoicing System in stores. The CRM & Invoicing System treats your personal data as intellectual property to David Fun Max Ltd., trading under Hugmie.
This means that your personal data cannot be seen, shared or mined during the course that your data is stored by the company.
Your personal data is private and secure within this system.
Hugmie store will keep your personal information for 6 years for the process of internal recording keeping. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by removing all identifying information and historical invoices from the system.
WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR DATA
Over the course of processing your Repair, our staff will create a Repairs Invoice or ‘Ticket’ for your specific device.
Only staff who are directly dealing with your Repair Invoice have access to your data. This includes the Ticket Creator and the Technician in the process of carrying out their duties to perform the repair in question.
If there is an issue or a Ticket or Invoice needs further investigation or updates over the course of the Repair, Hugmie store will access your Ticket to resolve these. Such as contacting you about your Repair, status checks, accessing test notes, etc.

REQUEST FOR DATA DELETION
You can at any time, request that David Fun Max Ltd., trading under Hugmie, deletes your personal data inline with your wishes.
